Glancing through the new CNN survey on the January 6, 2021, rebellion and the job Donald Trump played in it, I was struck by a straightforward, pestering inquiry: How could anybody with these kind of numbers at any point be chosen president again in 2024?
How about we go through a portion of the numbers:
* 45% of Americans think Trump acted illicitly on January 6.
* 34% think Trump acted unscrupulously yet not illicitly.
* 61% accept that Trump's public assertions empowered the political savagery that day.
* Simply 23% figure Trump did his absolute best to stop the uproar once it was in progress.
* Just 32% figure Trump accomplished more than then-Vice President Mike Pence to act to the greatest advantage of the country that day. (67% say Pence accomplished more.)

Close to a portion of the nation thinks Trump acted unlawfully! Approximately 1 out of 4 figure he did all that he could to stop the mob once it began! Around 6 of every 10 think he empowered the brutality that day!
These are awful numbers. Like, downright awful.
Apparently the American public, by and large, decided on Trump and January 6. They accept he impelled it, aggravated it and may have even overstepped the law.
